San Francisco Class Listing


 

 

 

There are two Scottish Country Dance locations for adults in San Francisco. There is also a Youth class for kids 7 1/2 years old and up. All the classes have energetic dancing and great music! No partners needed to attend any classes or parties, and you need not be Scottish to join the fun.
Please bring tennis shoes or dance slippers. No hard shoes or high heels, please. Fees will be prorated for people starting late.

Basic and Experienced: Thursdays 8pm - 10pm
Location: Noe Valley Ministry, 1021 Sanchez Street at 23rd Street.
Teachers: Bruce Herbold, Tim Wilson, Trina Merriman, and Susie Langdon-Kass.
Musicians: Katherine Carvejal, Patti Cobb, Joy Graham, Michael Crandall, and Guest Fiddlers

  • Basic class at this location starts September 11, 2008.
  • Experienced class is ongoing. See class notes.
These two classes join together after instruction for more dancing and refreshments.
Drop-in $8/class or series $60 for 9 weeks.

Youth/Family Class (ages 7-1/2 years old and up):
Introductory: Sundays 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Intermediate: Sundays 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
Location: Richmond District YMCA, 360 18th Avenue at Geary
Teacher: Susie Langdon-Kass
New beginning class: September 7, 2008
Tennis shoes, old ballet slippers, soft-soled Scottish dance slippers recommended.
